Indonesia secures US$4.96 bln investment commitments under TCTP scheme

Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesia has secured Rp88.1 trillion (US$4.96 billion) in investment commitments from Chinese companies under the Two Countries Twin Parks (TCTP) cooperation framework, Indonesia's Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs said.
The ministry's Deputy for Commerce and Digital Economy Coordination Ali Murtopo Simbolon said the framework provides a strategic platform to deepen economic ties between Indonesia and China.
“This partnership is aimed not only at boosting investment but also strengthening industrial connectivity, supply chains, technology transfer, added value, and job creation in Indonesia,” Simbolon said in an official statement on Thursday.
Previously, 30 memorandums of understanding were signed under the framework, representing total commitments of about Rp37.1 trillion (US$2.09 billion).
At the China-Indonesia Two Countries Twin Parks Investment Promotion Conference in Xiamen on Sept. 9, Indonesia secured an additional Rp51 trillion (US$2.87 billion) in business commitments, bringing the total to Rp88.1 trillion.
Simbolon said the commitments mark an initial phase requiring continued monitoring until projects reach implementation and investment realization. The government will ensure the commitments translate into concrete projects.
“The government will continue facilitating communication among investors, industrial estate managers, and relevant ministries or agencies to resolve investment barriers swiftly and in a coordinated manner,” he added.
The TCTP framework is a joint industrial estate development initiative between Indonesia and China, formally established through their joint statement on Nov. 9, 2024.
The partnership was strengthened on May 25, 2025, when Indonesia's Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, China's Ministry of Commerce, and Fujian's provincial government signed a memorandum on the TCTP cooperation project.
At the recent Xiamen investment promotion session, representatives from Indonesian industrial zones, including Batang Industropolis Special Economic Zone, Tanjung Lesung SEZ, and Bintan Industrial Estate, presented investment opportunities to Chinese investors.
The forum also connected government officials, industrial estate managers, and business representatives from both countries through direct business-matching activities.
