Final Fantasy 9: Denouement Officially Releases This Month

Known as 'Cyberpunk 2077's' biggest fan, Angharad is a Welsh games writer who thrives in anything related to digital storytelling. If a video game explores the intricacies and horrors of womanhood, she is there.
Thanks to previous work at GAMINGbible, GameByte, The Loadout, Game Luster, Angharad has built a strong understanding of both the digital world and what fans want from it and is eager to share her thoughts and expertise with readers.
First launching on the PlayStation back in 2000 and marking the ninth installment in the Final Fantasy franchise by Square Enix, Final Fantasy IX is still remembered fondly. Taking place in a medieval fantasy world known as Gaia, the story follows thief Zidane Tribal who, after kidnapping princess Garnet Til Alexandros XVII, teams up with her and others to take down her mother, the Queen, and unite the nations once more.
Cementing itself as one of the greatest video games of all time, and receiving praise for its nods to the original Final Fantasy games yet with the inclusion of new mechanics, Final Fantasy IX received a remaster back in 2016, and Square Enix even announced an upcoming animated series adaptation in collaboration with Cyber Group Studios.
In the meantime, however, fans of Final Fantasy IX can look forward to another major release which will see nods not just to the original game, but to the characters we all love, know, and miss.
Whilst the Final Fantasy franchise may have come on leaps and bounds since FFIX was launched back in 2000, with the franchise now welcoming 16 mainline entries, and that is not to mention the various spin-offs, sequels, and remakes, it is the ninth entry that reminds fans of good times, and this is exactly what this upcoming release will achieve.
Courtesy of the Square Enix Store, Final Fantasy IX fans can now pre-order FINAL FANTASY IX Jigsaw Puzzle Denouement - 1000 PIECE which, as you can probably guess, is a jigsaw puzzle inspired by the beloved game and featuring an iconic key visual and consisting of 1,000 pieces.
Released in order to celebrate the 25th anniversary of FFIX, this puzzle is now available for pre-order and, better yet, Denouement is not the only version you can get. There is also Integrity and Reclusion, also available for pre-order and coming in at 1,000 pieces. Last, but not least, each puzzle costs a respectable £32.99, and is expected to begin shipping this September, although a specific release date has not yet been announced.
Nevertheless, this puzzle collection is the perfect way to commemorate a major Final Fantasy IX celebration and will see time fly whilst we wait for the Square Enix and Cyber Group studios animated series, which will hopefully shine a new light on the beloved 2000 RPG. If you are still unsure if these puzzles are worth your time, it is no doubt that reviews will start flooding in over the next couple of months, so make sure to stay tuned to the latest Final Fantasy IX collectibles.
