David Harewood's twisty legal drama Pierre debuted on Channel 4 this Monday, with weekly instalments airing until 9 November. But if you'd rather binge-watch the full series now, all six episodes are available on the streaming service.

Described as "gritty", the show stars Harewood as the titular solicitor who feels trapped in a dead-end job as he struggles to keep his head above water.

"When his client dies in suspicious circumstances, powerhouse duty solicitor Pierre enters a world of bigotry and corruption to expose the truth. But at what cost?" reads the synopsis.

While fighting to get justice for the youngster, Pierre discovers just how corrupt the police system is. With the cards stacked against him, will his determination pull him through?

Appearing alongside Harewood is The Bill's Michele Austin, Jason Flemyng, Game of Thrones' Dean-Charles Chapman, Nikkita Chadha, and EastEnders' Christopher Fairbank.

London's Burning's Sara Powell, The Midwich Cuckoos' Cherrelle Skeech, and newcomers Dylan Ennis and Ezrae Mayes also star.

Pierre has already received critical acclaim, with The Times praising Harewood's leading performance, which "gives the character heft and quality".

"Harewood treats us to a finely underplayed turn in the lead, and series creators John Donnelly and Roy Williams have fashioned such an enviably rich world in an unglamorous setting," noted Radio Times.

The Guardian awarded the show four stars, branding it "an instant crime classic" and calling for a second season.

"His friends in places high and low agree: nobody does it quite like Pierre. So if he has been overburdened with responsibility, the only agreeable solution is to allow more time for him to work things out for everyone who depends on him. That sounds like a season two commission to me," the review concludes.

Pierre is streaming on Channel 4.
