Pat McAfee Details Sitting With Taylor Swift, Tom Cruise at NFL Game
Pat McAfee sat quiet by Taylor Swift and Tom Cruise’s side in the shade—and not the kind that's thrown.
Indeed, McAfee revealed that he was in Travis Kelce’s star-studded suite during the Sept. 14 Kansas City Chiefs vs. Denver Broncos game and got to officially meet Swift and Cruise.
“I potentially talked to Tom Cruise last night,” McAfee revealed during the Sept. 15 episode of his ESPN series, The Pat McAfee Show. “I was dripping in sweat and he had a leather jacket on and he didn’t have a single drop or bead of sweat anywhere.”
And while McAfee was completely wonderstruck by meeting the Mission Impossible star, he admitted he was enchanted to finally get face time with Swift.
“Got a chance to chitchat with Miss Taylor Swift last night,” McAfee continued. “I go, ‘Miss Taylor,’ and she goes, ‘Pat!’ I go, ‘How are you?’”
Nevertheless, McAfee lamented he had to meet her after spending hours in the sun alongside Jason Kelce to commentate on the pre-game ESPN panel.
“I’m drenched, this is how I’m meeting Taylor Swift for the first time, really,” McAfee, who admitted he only got to briefly interact with her during her July 3 wedding. “This is the first time we’re really getting a chance to talk. Just sweat all over her.”
But despite the star power inside the Arrowhead Stadium suite—which also included Swift’s parents Scott Swift and Andrea Swift, as well as Donna Kelce—McAfee emphasized the best part was the excitement for the Chiefs tight end and the game itself.
“That was the most ‘into it’ suite we’ve ever been in,” he continued. “Everybody in there was all in. He had that 57-yard catch, we were in there for that. That was what being a football fan was like.”

Trust, Swift was the cheer captain from the bleachers.
“She’s all in,” McAfee said. “I know she had an Eagles jersey on when she was young, she sang the National Anthem but she’s been so busy with her career I wasn’t sure how much she was into football and how much everybody else that was in there. Obviously, you’ve got the Kelce portion in there—they’re all football people. Watching them experience a game was fantastic.”
