Juventus defender Federico Gatti has been added to Roberto Mancini’s Italy squad for the Nations League matches against France and Belgium.
The Bianconeri man won’t have long to travel to the Coverciano training ground, because he is at the Stadio Artemio Franchi in Florence this evening, playing in Juve’s 2-2 Serie A draw against Fiorentina.
Gatti earns Italy recall

Mancini had originally called up Udinese’s 18-year-old Matteo Palma to replace injured Roma defender Gianluca Mancini, but he would seem to want a more experienced figure to bolster his options for these crucial matches.
Gatti is 28 years old and has eight senior caps for the Italy squad, the most recent being in the ill-fated World Cup play-off defeat on penalties to Bosnia and Herzegovina on March 31, 2026.
The Juve centre-back scored one goal with one assist in nine appearances this season between Serie A and the Europa League.

The Nations League Group A fixtures conclude with Italy hosting France at San Siro on Thursday November 12, then visiting Belgium in Brussels on Sunday November 15.
