This week sees the season 4 finale of Ted Lasso arrive on Apple TV, and two of the show's stars have tease that it will be an "epic" episode which will delight fans.

Speaking exclusively with Radio Times, Rex Hayes, who plays Siobhan in season 4 said: "Fans can expect a real epic, epic finale, and I think it's the real essence of Ted Lasso and what that show offers to audience members."

Aisling Sharkey, who plays Niamh, called it "a grand finale," which Hayes agreed with, before saying that it's "beautiful in so many different ways".

"I can't wait for people to get to watch it and experience it," Hayes added. "I’m so excited for the stories to come to this gorgeous, gorgeous end."

When asked whether the episode ends on a cliffhanger, Sharkey said she actually doesn't "know the answer to that question," while Hayes teased that "you will have to watch and find out."

"I think it's for audiences to decide," Hayes added, "but it's a beautiful culmination of all this season. I'm so excited for everyone to get to witness it."

We don't yet know anything about the season finale, other than that it will be called The Departing Lass and will pick up after the episode 9 cliffhanger, which saw Rebecca and Ted learn that Mae had died while attending a successful Richmond game, one which secured the team's promotion.
