An investigation is underway into the fatal fall of a 24-year-old male college student at a condominium in Bonifacio Global City, the Taguig City Police said Sunday.

Authorities identified the victim as a law student from the Ateneo de Manila University School of Law.

According to the initial investigation, the victim was discovered by the condominium’s security officer and maintenance personnel at around 7:30 a.m. on Friday, September 18, after they heard a loud thud.

At the time, the security officer was on the building’s fourth floor opening the door to the barracks.

The security officer and maintenance personnel proceeded toward the sound, where they discovered the victim's lifeless body.

The victim was reportedly residing on the building’s 16th floor, several floors above the 4th level where his remains were found.

Police reports noted that several residents from other floors also reported hearing the loud impact.

Authorities immediately cordoned off the area and requested investigators from the Investigation and Detective Management Section, Taguig City Police Station, and Southern Police District Forensic Unit to process the crime scene.

The victim’s remains will undergo an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death, according to the Taguig City Police.

Official reports from investigating authorities, including the Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO), have yet to be released. — BAP, GMA News
