Sizekhaya confirms Lotto jackpot has been WON by TWO players

Two South Africans have become overnight multimillionaires after each banking R7 907 831.90 in the National Lottery’s Lotto draw held on Wednesday, 30 September.
The as yet unnamed duo correctly predicted the six numbers drawn in the draw.
Those numbers were: 3, 4, 6, 7, 12 and 46.
The bonus ball – which isn’t required in order to win the Lotto jackpot – was 18.

Meanwhile, there were no winners of the estimated R4.5 million Lotto Plus 1 jackpot.

Cascade rule pays out
However, thanks to Sizekhaya’s cascade rule, as many as 17 players cashed in on the Lotto 5 Max jackpot on Wednesday evening.
While no player correctly matched the six numbers drawn nor five numbers plus the bonus ball, 17 did correctly pick five numbers.
They each walked away R318 294.50 richer.
As a reminder, on the final draw of each calendar month, the Lotto 5 Max jackpot features a cascade rule.
If no one matches all six numbers plus the bonus ball on that specific final monthly draw, the jackpot does not roll over.
Instead, it rolls down and is shared among the winners in the next lower prize division (Division 2, or Division 3 if there are no Division 2 winners).

New jackpot amounts
The jackpot amounts have now been reset ahead of the next draw scheduled for Saturday, 3 October.
The Lotto jackpot is at R2 million, while the Lotto Plus 1 and Lotto 5 Max are R5 million and R1 million, respectively.
WHEN DO THE DRAWS TAKE PLACE?
The Lotto, Lotto Plus 1, and Lotto 5 Max draws take place every Wednesday and Saturday on e.tv and SABC 2 at 21:00 (SA time).
Ticket sales close at 20:40 on the night of the draw.
