100 Caps: Yobo Lead Case For Super Eagles Star Forward To Be Celebrated

Former captain of the senior national team of Nigeria Joseph Yobo has called on the authorities in Nigeria to properly honour Super Eagles winger Moses Simon ahead of his 100 caps for the team, OwnGoalNigeria.com reports.

Simon will join a league of just four players who have over a 100 caps for Nigeria, if he gets to play in tomorrow’s AFCON 2027 qualifiers against Madagascar in Uyo.

Yobo, Ahmed Musa, Vincent Enyeama and Alex Iwobi are the only quartet with that honour for Nigeria, and Yobo believes his entry into Nigeria’s small group of centurions deserves formal recognition.

“Trust me, it’s a great achievement,” Yobo said. “I’m congratulating him ahead. It’s a great milestone to achieve. Maybe the next home game, maybe we can get together. You just never know.

“But it’s something that is worth celebrating, even from the officials of the NFF so that the younger ones coming up know that if you get to this certain level, you’ll be honoured differently.”
