Bloodborne PC Port Finally Available Right Now

It may have been well over a decade since Bloodborne first launched, but it has cemented itself as one of the greatest video games of all time, with many considering it to still be FromSoftware's magnum opus. However, it still comes with one major problem. Well, a few, actually.
To this day, Bloodborne has still not received a 60fps update, and whilst it is available on the PlayStation 5 courtesy of backwards compatibility, its performance has not been improved. Additionally, there has still been no word of a potential remake or remaster. However, its biggest issue still remains the fact that it does not have an official PC port.
Still locked to PlayStation only, despite FromSoftware reportedly expressing an interest in making the leap, PC users are still waiting for the day when they will be able to access Bloodborne. Luckily, they may now be in luck.
Although an official PC port is still not on the horizon, at least as far as we know, an unofficial native PC port has now arrived, and biggest of all, is that it is completely free to download.
Previously, downloading the PlayStation 4 emulator shadPS4 would allow players to access Bloodborne on PC courtesy of previous unofficial mods. Now, however, we have moved on from needing shadPS4 as this brand-new PC port, titled bbport, is native to Windows and Linux. As such, it runs the original FromSoftware title without the need for CPU emulation.
Accessible via Bloodborne Version 1.09, the port also arrives alongside an unlocked frame rate, and perhaps most exciting, 30, 60, and 90 FPS modes. Last but not least, bbport supports AMD FSR 3.1, FSR 4, and FSR 4.1.1. Additionally, if you want to make adjustments in game, you will be able to access a menu which will allow changes to resolution, upscaling, sharpness, and graphics effects.
You will also be pleased to hear that it supports mods, comes alongside a Windows Launcher, and has free camera support, and a Steam Deck AppImage. That being said, there is one caveat, and that is that bbport does not have mouse and keyboard support. As such, you will have to hook up a controller of your choice to be able to play. You could argue that this does not make it a true PC experience, but hey, we have come a long way when it comes to unofficial Bloodborne PC ports, so we cannot expect the world.
To download this brand-new Bloodborne PC port, you can head to this link, and with the gaming sphere currently talking about this brand-new release, you will doubtless find help online if you are struggling with getting started. As always, we can only hope that projects such as this will inspire FromSoftware and, most importantly, Sony to finally make the leap and give Bloodborne fans what they want.
