Will Kim Kardashian Ever Run for Political Office? She Says…

Are Kim Kardashian and Paris Hilton Feuding Over a Biography? The Truth

Kim Kardashian isn’t looking to keep up with politics—at least right now.

The Kardashians star addressed whether she’d ever make a foray into the political sphere—admitting she’s not entirely ruling it out, especially after former President Joe Biden dropped out of the 2024 election. (Vice President Kamala Harris ultimately became the Democratic nominee, though she lost to President Donald Trump.)

“People ask me all the time,” Kardashian revealed to Jonathan Van Meter in his new biography Citizen Kim, which hit shelves Oct. 27. “I mean, the amount of people who wrote to me after Biden’s disastrous debate? The fact that you guys think I’m capable of this? I am so flattered.”

But Kardashian still has a few key to dos to skim through before she’d ever consider a campaign.

“I think that, number one, I have to pass the bar and become a lawyer first,” the 46-year-old admitted. “And if you do run for office, you can’t really own and run a company, and I love SKIMS and what we’ve built. That is my focus. So, I definitely need some time.”

Nevertheless, Kardashian—mom to North, 13, Saint, 10, Chicago, 8, Psalm, 7, with ex Kanye West—teased, “But we have time.”

After all, she hasn’t tagged the lawyer base just yet, although she has assumed the role of attorney—on TV.

In the biography Kardashian admitted to Van Meter she was “not sure” where her journey in earning her law degree—she graduated from a six-year law office study program in May—would lead.

One thing for certain, though, is she hasn’t fully given up on her lawyer dreams after failing the bar exam in July 2025—even if she has put the process on pause.

“Six years into this law journey, and I'm still all in until I pass the bar,” Kardashian wrote in a post shared to her Instagram Story last November. “No shortcuts, no giving up—just more studying and even more determination.”

Indeed, The SKKN by Kim founder considered her failed test “fuel” for her to push even harder toward her goal.

"I was so close to passing the exam and that only motivates me even more,” The All’s Fair actress continued, going on to quip of her role in the Ryan Murphy series, “I'm not a lawyer yet, I just play a very well-dressed one on TV.”
