BAGUIO CITY – Hydropower firm SN Aboitiz Power-Benguet Inc. (SNAPBI) has committed P4 million to support the construction of the Itogon Super Health Center, supplementing the P20-million funding secured from the Department of Health (DOH) in 2025.

The MOA was signed by Mayor Bernard S. Waclin, Vice Mayor Dante Alain Xavier D. Godio and Municipal Planning and Development Coordinator Imelda F. Nuguid and SNAPBI First Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Michael Bon Hosillos.

The  450-square-meter health center is being constructed by the Department of Public Works and Highways in the Cordillera.

Municipal Health Officer Oliver P. Guadaña said the facility will need to secure medical equipment and supplies before it can begin operations. The municipal government intends to seek additional assistance from the DOH.

Once operational, the health center is expected to provide laboratory examinations, minor surgical procedures, birthing services, dental care, pharmacy services and X-ray services to Itogon residents. Maureen Matayew, contributor /jpv
