KOTA KINABALU, Sept 14 — A man was killed after being trapped inside a four‑wheel drive following a collision involving seven vehicles and a motorcycle at the traffic lights on Jalan Kolam here this morning.

According to Harian Metro, the 44‑year‑old driver of a Toyota Hilux was confirmed dead at the scene of the 6.10am incident.

Jalan Lintas Fire and Rescue Station chief, Senior Fire Superintendent Noor Sherriyana Bohari, said his team received an emergency call at 6.33am.

He said the team used specialised rescue equipment to extricate the victim, who was pinned inside the vehicle, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The body was later handed over to police for further action and the operation concluded at 7.55am.
