Red, White Village Cooperativemanagers to be placed next week : Gov't

Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesia expects to place managers at Red and White Village Cooperatives (KDKMP) next week after issuing appointment decrees, Cooperatives Minister Ferry Juliantono said.
Ferry said 28,626 KDKMP managers had been recruited. The appointment decrees will be issued after a presidential regulation governing KDKMP is promulgated.
“The appointment decrees, including salaries, allowances and other provisions, will be issued within the next one or two days,” Ferry told a House Commission VI working meeting in Jakarta on Thursday.
The managers could not previously be placed because the government was awaiting the presidential regulation, which, among other provisions, sets their salaries and allowances, he said.
Ferry said the delay was not caused by sabotage, but by the government's wait for the regulation to be issued.
The managers will be employed by PT Agrinas Pangan Nusantara under two-year fixed-term employment contracts, Ferry said.
He said 17,288 village cooperatives already had warehouses, outlets and other facilities, based on information submitted by PT Agrinas to the Cooperatives Ministry for verification and validation.
Verification and validation are currently underway for 7,028 cooperatives, involving teams at the provincial and district or city levels, he said.
The results will be reviewed by the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) before serving as the basis for payments and transferring the buildings to villages.
“The results have been submitted to us and will serve as the basis for Finance Ministry payments to state-owned banks (Himbara), which have reached maturity,” Ferry said.
