In the three months ending June 2026, 2 181 residential burglaries occurred across the city’s 63 police precincts.

Simon’s Town is also the Cape Town suburb that reported the fewest crimes in the three months ending June 2026.

South African Police Service (SAPS) data shows 104 crimes were reported in the first quarter.

The Simon’s Town police precinct includes Scarborough, Glencairn, and Welcome Glen.

The average sale price in these areas is R4.3 million.

Glencairn Heights is the next suburb with affordable homes.

The average sale price in Glencairn Heights is R3.95 million.

In Simon’s Town Central, property starts at R3.5 million, and in Dido Valley it’s R3 million.

Expect rates and taxes in the area to range from R1 200 to R2 700.

Buyers willing to spend more than R10 million can purchase in the only Cape Town suburb with no residential burglaries.

Table Bay Harbour reported no residential burglaries in the three months ending June 2026.

The average sale price in the police precinct, which includes Granger Bay and the Waterfront, is R10.9 million.
