Translate

Veteran comedian, Gbenga Adeyinka, has announced that the grand finale of the 2026 edition of his comedy show, Laffmattazz with Gbenga Adeyinka and Friends, will hold on Sunday, November 15, at the Balmoral Convention Centre, Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The event, scheduled to begin at 3pm, is tagged “Lagos Gets the Last Laugh” and will mark the conclusion of a tour that has visited Ibadan, Akure, Calgary, London, Ontario, Toronto and Abeokuta.

According to a statement by the organisers, Laughter Incorporated Ventures, the finale is themed “The Next Chapter: A New Season of Laughter” and will feature a blend of comedy, music, culture and fashion.

The event will also mark the end of the tour’s 15th anniversary year, alongside more than three decades of Adeyinka’s career in the entertainment industry.

For the comedian, popularly known as the Grand Comedian Of Nigeria, the Lagos finale represents a homecoming, as the city played a significant role in the development of his career more than 30 years ago.

A statement shared with Saturday Beats noted that Lagos provided some of the stages and audiences that helped shape Adeyinka’s career, making the city a fitting destination for the tour’s final outing.

It added that FirstBank is the lead sponsor and official tour partner of Laffmattazz 2026.

With preparations underway, the organisers are also seeking additional sponsors and brand partners to support the event. Proposed partnership opportunities include audience engagement, hospitality, on-site activations and campaign visibility before, during and after the show.

They added that the finale would provide brands with opportunities to connect with audiences through comedy and shared cultural experiences.
