Exclusive: Hollyoaks promises answers over Lucas Hay's mysterious behaviour

Hollyoaks spoilers follow.
Hollyoaks star Oscar Curtis has promised that answers are on the way after Lucas Hay's mysterious behaviour in recent weeks.
Fans were shocked last month as Lucas confronted Gemma Johnson in a tense showdown, revealing his involvement in the baffling disappearance of his dad Ste.

The scenes revisited Lucas's dark side and the unresolved animosity between father and son, which stems from past mistakes.
Since then, however, Lucas's ambiguous scenes with Imran Maalik have suggested that there could be more twists to come in the storyline.
Speaking exclusively to Digital Spy about Lucas and Gemma's encounter, Oscar teased: "It was a bit of a turn in the story for Lucas, because he's just come out of prison.
"But it's fun to play and doing the scenes in the Maalik set with Tisha [Merry, who plays Gemma], they were fun to film. It's a different side of Lucas, so it's always great to expand the character a little bit.
"I enjoy the darker side, to be honest! The thing is, it's quite far removed from myself, so it's fun to play those emotions. And also, I think when a character's just the same thing all the time, it gets a bit boring for the viewers but also for the actors."

Asked how genuine Lucas was being in his confrontation with Gemma, Oscar replied: "I think when more episodes come out and other sides of the story get revealed, I think people will say: 'Okay, that makes more sense now'. Because it kind of did come out of nowhere!"
Ste went missing several weeks ago and hasn't shared any scenes with Lucas since the troubled youngster was released from prison.
This means that viewers are still waiting for the moment when Ste, Lucas and the recast Leah Barnes share a scene.

Oscar added: "I think the fans want a Lucas and Ste reunion. So maybe in due course that will happen! We've done quite a lot of scenes already with me and Charlotte [Riley, who plays Leah] and Ijaz [Rana, who plays Imran].
"But I think the fans want the full family reunion, so it'll happen in due time, definitely!"
