France‘s Les Arcs Coproduction Village has unveiled the 17 European feature film projects selected for its 18th edition in December.

One of the most convivial coproduction markets of the year, the showcase is part of the alpine Les Arcs Film Festival’s Industry Village program, which has previously showcased films such as Oscar-winning animation Flow and Venice Grand Jury Prize winner Vermiglio at the project stage.

This year’s lineup includes France-based Irish British filmmaker Róisín Burns’ debut feature Happy Hardcore about a young Liverpudlian who deserts his post during the Iraq War. The buzzy project previously scooped the Cannes Critics’ Week Next Step prize earlier this year.

Austrian director Bernhard Wenger, whose last film Peacock was his country’s entry for the 2026 Oscars, will present Last Days of Summer. He previously participated in the Les Arcs Talent Village in 2017 with Peacock.

Other returnees include Alexandra Makarová, who presented Perla in the Les Arcs Work in Progress, and comes back with Fanny Is Alive.

Further participants include Finnish director and screenwriter Mikko Myllylahti with Mystery of The Autumn Killer, his second directorial credit after The Woodcutter’s Wife, and Danish Woman at War director Benedikt Erlingsson with Women’s Day.

Three Spanish projects have been selected as part of Les Arcs Film Festival’s wider 2026 country focus devoted to Spain. (scroll down for details in full list below)

A delegation of Spanish professionals, in partnership with the ICAA (Instituto de la Cinematografía y de las Artes Audiovisuales), will attend the Coproduction Village. Additionally, the wider Industry village will host the Spain-France Co-Production Meetings on December 15, organised by ICAA and France’s National Cinema Centre (CNC), bringing together eight Spanish projects in development selected by ICAA with French participants.

The coproduction market, which is part of the alpine Les Arcs Film Festival’s Industry Village program has previously showcased films such as Oscar-winning animation Flow and Venice Grand Jury Prize winner Vermiglio.

It received a record 496 submissions for this year’s edition this year, with the final selection spanning eight first fiction features, five second features and four projects by more established filmmakers.

The projects will compete for the Eurimages Co-production Development Award, worth €20,000 and the ArteKino International Award, worth €6,000.

In addition to the Coproduction showcase, the Industry Village also features a Work In Progress selection; the Talent Village, devoted to eight directors in early development on their first features, and a program of conferences, workshops and masterclasses devoted to hot topics impacting the indie film industry. Details of these strands will be released in the coming weeks.

The Industry Village will take place from December 12 to 15, 2026, as part of the 18th edition of Les Arcs Film Festival, running from December 12 to 19, 2026.
