Some guests at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding left with a champagne flute covered in diamonds. Others spent hours waiting without a phone. New reports say the July 3 ceremony at Madison Square Garden ran on a quiet ranking system, with arrival times and seats tied to how close each person was to the couple. The Daily Mail has now shared a minute-by-minute schedule for the day. It shows that the closer you were to Swift and Kelce, the later you got to walk in.
Taylor Swift wedding guests were sorted by arrival time
Doors reportedly opened at 2:30 p.m. The ceremony did not start until 5:30 p.m. Guests handed over their phones at security, so early arrivals had nothing to scroll. Cocktails did not begin until 4 p.m.
The order followed one simple rule. According to the report, "the better acquainted they are with the soon-to-be newlyweds, the later their scheduled arrival." Model Cara Delevingne got the earliest slot at 2:30 p.m. and was "relegated to D-list status," the report said. Swift's high school best friend, Abigail Anderson, did not need to show up until 4:30 p.m.
Seats worked the same way. "Closest friends and family are right up front," the report said. Everyone else filled rows that stretched toward the back of the arena.
About 1,000 people attended in all. Adam Sandler officiated, and the venue was turned into a fairytale forest. One report put the cost at $30 million.
Travis Kelce and Swift gave rehearsal dinner guests a diamond keepsake
The best perks came a day early. Roughly 100 people were invited to the rehearsal dinner at MSG's Infosys Theater. Gigi Hadid, Bradley Cooper, Selena Gomez, Lena Dunham and Jack Antonoff were on the list.
Guests were seen leaving with black velvet boxes stamped with the couple's logo, two T's joined by two hearts. A source told Page Six the boxes held "one large champagne flute adorned with diamonds." Entertainment Weekly spotted Erin Andrews and Jarret Stoll, Charissa Thompson and Steven Cundari, and Reggie and Sarah King carrying them.
Not everyone loved the main event. Some guests reportedly grumbled about the food and the decor, and the artificial trees were called "ghastly and tacky." Guests and staff signed nondisclosure agreements, and Swift was reportedly furious when photos from inside leaked. One source also claimed the custom decor was burned afterward so no one could resell it.
The couple has said nothing publicly about the guest list reports.
