MANILA, Philippines – On Day 35 of Vice President Sara Duterte’s impeachment trial, representatives of several banks are set to testify on the financial records of Duterte and her husband, lawyer Manases Carpio, as the prosecution continues presenting evidence related to its allegations of unexplained wealth.

The witnesses are expected to testify on at least 30 bank accounts across eight banks. The prosecution has said the accounts had combined ending balances of more than P190 million that were allegedly not declared in Duterte’s statement of assets, liabilities and net worth (SALN)./dp
