Theo Rossi, Ron Perlman & Rachelle Goulding Wrap Under-The-Radar Horror Film ‘Renew’, First Look Revealed

EXCLUSIVE: Theo Rossi has added an under-the-radar horror film to his genre era in the shape of Renew, which will reunite him on screen with his Sons Of Anarchy, Come With Me and The Saviors co-star Ron Perlman.

Filming recently wrapped on Renew, “a suspense-driven horror film that begins as an intimate love story before descending into visceral horror”.

Directed by Tommy DeNucci from a screenplay he co-wrote with Rossi, the film, which also stars Rachelle Goulding (Suits LA), “follows a husband and wife who return to the secluded Montana guest ranch where they were married to renew their vows, hoping to leave the past behind and begin again. But when she mysteriously disappears, he is forced to confront the life he fought to escape as he uncovers a hidden evil lurking beneath the ranch’s idyllic façade.” Below is a first-look image.

The ensemble cast also includes Ronnie Gene Blevins, Allison Dunbar, Sam Daly, Danny Rivera, Rebecca Creskoff, Darko Ostojic, Bonnie Gayle Sparks, Barron Boedecker and Chris Wilks. Diana Hull and Rossi produced the film.

Production wrapped in Red Lodge and Roberts, Montana. Rossi was joined on the project by longtime producing partner Nicholas Carmona. DeNucci has previously directed Rossi in movies Vault and Play Dirty.

Rossi, also known for HBO’s The Penguin, Netflix’s Carry-On, and Emily the Criminal, commented: “What excited Tommy and me most was building the film around two people with a shared history who are trying to find their way back to each other. There’s hope, humor and heart in that, but also the weight of everything they’ve been through. When that hope comes under threat, you find out how far someone will go for the person they love. We wanted audiences invested in Randy and Liz from the very beginning, so they feel the danger right alongside them.”

Producer Diana Hull said: “Watching this cast and crew bring Renew to life in Montana was incredibly rewarding. The film asks a great deal of its performers, both emotionally and physically, and their commitment carried through every stage of production. We can’t wait for audiences to experience what we’ve created together.”

DeNucci added: “From the very first draft, we wanted audiences to settle into this beautiful Montana escape and genuinely fall in love with Randy and Liz. The more authentic their relationship feels, the more terrifying it becomes when everything begins to unravel. This remarkable cast brought that emotional journey to life in ways that exceeded every expectation.”

Rossie and Perlman will also join forces on the upcoming Sons of Anarchy reboot Legends.
