Pokémon Winds and Waves officially arrives in 2027, but 2026 marks 30 years since Pokémon was first introduced to the world, and the celebrations have been non-stop. There's been a huge amount of brand-new merch released to pay tribute to three decades of Pokémon, with plenty more still to come. Naturally, much of this has been focused on one of the most popular little critters of all: Eevee.

There have been plenty of rumurs suggesting a new Eeveelution will debut in Winds and Waves, but I want to stress that nothing has been officially confirmed at this time. Even so, The Pokémon Company is teasing us by unveiling new designs for beloved Eeveelutions like Espeon. Releasing as part of the Winter Night Sky collection, this festive Espeon is a lovely new bit of merch for collectors.

The "Espeon Together for the Holidays Ornament" is available now at Pokémon Center. It's pretty modestly priced at $16.99, and shows Espeon wearing a red scarf and curled up with a wooden toy. Adorable. The official description of the item reads: "Get together with friends and family for the holidays—and bring Pokémon along for the ride! This resin ornament features Espeon wearing a red scarf while playing with a Yamper toy, and it's ready to celebrate with festive cheer! Add it to a holiday tree or wreath to give your home a touch of Pokémon fun season after season."

The Espeon ornament comes with a green ribbon so you can hang it where you like, and a flat base if you'd rather display it above the fireplace (or on a shelf, table, other non-fireplace related surfaces). Its measurements are 3.2 x 2.9 x 3.2 inches, and it's part of the "Together For The Holidays" collection, just in case you were wondering what to get the Pokémon fan in your life.

Pokémon Winds and Waves will release in 2027, although we're still waiting for a release date. Multiple leaks seem to point towards November 2027, though, which means we're still about a year away. The franchise shows no signs of slowing down before then mind you, thanks to new releases like this one on Pokémon Center and the recently released Pokémon TCG Delta Reign set.

"Overall, I'm quite pleased by Delta Reign and its Elite Trainer Box," we wrote in our review of the set. "If you've purchased an ETB before, you'll find similar items here, but the box makes a great storage item and also provides a nice boost to starting your Delta Reign collection thanks to the booster packs and everything else inside. While I liked the 30th Celebration set, I was a bit underwhelmed by Pitch Black and didn't like Chaos Rising as much as I wanted to.

"In terms of other Mega Evolution expansions, Delta Reign doesn't quite reach the heights of Phanstasmal Flames, which was last year's November set, but it stands out as one of my personal favorite sets of 2026. With more Mega Evolution sets planned for 2027, the Pokémon Trading Card Game: Delta Reign expansion is a fine way to close out this year, even if it feels a bit anticlimactic after all the hype surrounding the 30th Celebration cards."
