Ohio State's Jaylen McClain snagged one of the flukiest interceptions you'll see all season early in the No. 1 Buckeyes' game at No. 4 Texas.

Texas WR Cam Coleman got himself open against McClain on a deep corner route and laid out to what looked to be a long completion from Arch Manning. But as Coleman hit the ground with the ball pinned between his arms and chest, the ball flew out of his grasp and up into the air.

Since McClain was a couple of steps behind Coleman, he was able to grab the ball before it hit the ground. And, sure enough, it was proven on replay review that the ball never hit the turf before flying out of Coleman's arms.

Take a look:

It was the second turnover in as many possessions for the Longhorns. Texas RB Raleek Brown fumbled on the first play of the game after taking a swing pass from Manning and losing the ball before he was down on the ground.

Saturday night's matchup of top-five teams was the second regular-season meeting between the teams in the last two seasons and the third game between Texas and Ohio State in the past three seasons. Ohio State won the first two, beating the Longhorns in the College Football Playoff at the end of the 2024 season and then taking Texas down 14-7 in Week 1 of the 2025 season.
