Exclusive: Strictly Come Dancing's Delta Goodrem calls for Eurovision theme week

Delta Goodrem is no stranger to the Eurovision Song Contest, having reached fourth place in this year’s competition in Vienna with her song ‘Eclipse'. Now, the performer backs the idea of a Eurovision-themed week for Strictly Come Dancing.
Speaking exclusively to Digital Spy, the Australian singer said: "I would highly support a Eurovision week. I am now a dedicated Eurovision fan myself, it was one of the most amazing experiences of my life."
She added: "As long as I get to fly out of a piano. Two of my greatest idols Olivia Newton-John and Celine Dion both did Eurovision, I would be happy to perform as them.

"Or even this year’s winner Dara, I would learn the routine for 'Bangaranga'.”
Delta's call comes after she was forced to miss Strictly's Icons week last weekend, following a rib injury.
This weekend, she and professional partner Kai Widdrington are set to return to the dancefloor, performing a Rumba to Celine Dion’s 1996 hit ‘It’s All Coming Back To Me Now'.
Speaking on her recent injury, she told us: "I feel so grateful for returning and I’m excited to be able to perform. Everyone has been giving me a lot of gentle hugs and its very welcoming."

Despite currently focusing on her dancing, she is also set to return to singing with a UK tour, including a planned concert at the London Palladium next February.
Delta's 2003 debut album Innocent Eyes, which spawned the singles 'Born To Try' and 'Lost Without You', has sold over four million copies worldwide and went 15-times Platinum in her native Australia.
On whether Kai could join her on tour, she said: "We need to do a dance where we're both singing on stage together, we’ll get him singing soon."
Strictly Come Dancing airs on BBC One and streams on BBC iPlayer.
