Hürzeler Targets European Glory For Brighton Fans
Brighton manager Fabian Hürzeler has expressed his determination to deliver European success for the club’s supporters after his side earned a hard-fought 1–0 victory over Getafe on Thursday, November 5.
The Seagulls continued their impressive campaign both domestically and on the continent by breaking down José Bordalás’ notoriously resolute Getafe side.

Speaking to TNT Sports following the final whistle, Hürzeler emphasized the tactical discipline required to break down defensive opposition while setting his sights high for the remainder of the tournament.
“These games in European competition are different,” Hürzeler said. “You have to beat a low block. You have to understand what the opponents are looking for in the game. Therefore, you have to always be patient in these games, and I think we did that today.”

Despite securing the victory, the 33-year-old manager was quick to point out areas where his side fell short of their usual high standards.
“We didn’t play our best game, to be fair. We had a few moments where we were quite lazy with the easy things,” he admitted.
“We didn’t do the simple things at the highest level, but in the end, we kept a clean sheet—our third clean sheet in a row in this tournament—and we scored a goal. I think we deserved to win.”
