Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan's drama Tulsa King unveils first-look trailer for season 4

With the fourth season of Paramount+ crime drama Tulsa King set to start airing on Paramount+ on Friday 16 October, a first-look trailer has now been unveiled.

The trailer gives us our first glimpse of the return of Sylvester Stallone's Dwight, who this season will be fighting to legitimise his empire while protecting his crew from corrupt politicians and dangerous new enemies.

We also know that he will suffer "a crushing personal loss", which is hinted at in the trailer, with Dwight threatening that "bad thing are gonna happen to bad people" if he finds out whose fault it was.

At the end of the trailer, he is seen saying: "We built something here. It's not going anywhere."

The synopsis for season 4 says: "Every hard-won gain comes with even harder truths: about loyalty, leadership and the cost of ambition. Each move drags Dwight deeper into the street instincts he left behind in New York – turning Tulsa into a battleground and Dwight into the one threat no one can afford to underestimate."

Returning to the cast alongside Stallone for the new season are Martin Starr, Jay Will, Vincent Piazza, Annabella Sciorra, Chris Caldovino, McKenna Quigley Harrington, Frank Grillo, Mike 'Cash Flo' Walden, James Russo, Kevin Pollak, Neal McDonough, with Garrett Hedlund and Dana Delany. Meanwhile, Gretchen Mol is joining as a new character.

While Terence Winter ​i​s the head writer​ on the series, it was created by Yellowstone, who is also behind Paramount+ hits such as Yellowstone, Lioness, Landman, Mayor of Kingstown and The Madison – to name but a few.

One Sheridan collaborator fans shouldn't expect to see pop up in Tulsa King anytime soon is Zoe Saldaña. While she leads the cast of lioness, she has confirmed that she has no current interest in joining any of Sheridan's other shows.

She told People of working on Lioness: "I’m number one on the call sheet. I am first one in, last one out. I am prepping months before anybody ever is able to prep. So it’s already a lot of work for me. I can’t imagine me taking on more of a Taylor Sheridan world."
