Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta expressed concern over Bukayo Saka’s injury after the England winger was forced off early in his side’s 2-2 draw against Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday.
Saka went down in pain in the eighth minute after attempting to play the ball and was seen clutching his left thigh. He received treatment from Arsenal’s medical staff but was unable to continue and was replaced by Eberechi Eze in the 10th minute.
Speaking to TNT Sports after the match, Arteta acknowledged that the nature of Saka’s injury had raised concerns within the club.

“They (club medics) are a bit concerned,” Arteta said. “A player that has to come off with that really sharp pain is never good news, but we will have to wait and see.”
The exact nature and severity of the injury remain unclear, with Arsenal yet to confirm a diagnosis or provide a timeline for Saka’s recovery.
The setback comes after the 25-year-old endured several injury problems last season, including issues involving his hamstring and Achilles.
