Adams In Action As Atalanta Condemn Venezia To Sixth Straight League Defeat On
Nigerian international Akor Adams was in action but could not help Venezia avoid suffering their sixth consecutive Serie A defeat following a 3-1 loss to Atalanta on Monday.
It was Adams’ sixth appearance in the Italian topflight and has scored just one goal since joining Venezia from Sevilla in the summer.
Atalanta, who had lost three straight league games before today, made a flying start as
Franck Kessie opened the scoring in the 4th minute, racing onto Nikola Krstovic’s pass to dink over Filip Stankovic.
Krstovic then doubled the lead shortly after just three minutes after the first goal, heading home Eljif Elmas’ corner.
In the 31st minute Atalanta added a third goal when Krstovic pounced on a rebound after Stankovic parried Jonathan Rowe’s effort to complete his brace.

Venezia reduced the deficit late in the 37th minute through Antoine Hainaut, who nodded in Richie Sagrado’s cross.
The win moves Atalanta to 10th on the table with nine points from six games, while Venezia remain bottom of the league with zero points from six games — the only side in Serie A without a point this season.
Adams was on target for the Super Eagles in their 3-3 draw with Russia in an international friendly game during the international break.
The AFCON 2025 bronze medal winner netted in stoppage time to complete the comeback for the Super Eagles who were 3-1 down at some point in the encounter.
