Mosiria Speaks On Adjusting To Life After Losing Government Job
Less than a week after his dismissal by Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja, former County Chief Officer for Public Participation, Citizen Engagement, and Customer Service Geoffrey Mosiria has opened up about adjusting to life outside public office while outlining his next political steps.
Writing on Facebook on Sunday, October 25, 2026, Mosiria reflected on the swift change in his daily routine since being relieved of his duties on Wednesday, October 21.
Rather than stepping back from public engagement, the former county official announced that his focus will shift entirely to community-driven initiatives and grassroots outreach across the capital.
“Serving humanity has always been my calling, and no matter the circumstances, my heart will always be with the people,” Mosiria shared, adding: “Watu wa Kanairo, kazi bado ni mingi!”
Political Ambitions and Exit Fallout
Mosiria’s exit from the county executive came shortly after he publicly declared his intention to challenge Governor Sakaja for the Nairobi gubernatorial seat in the 2027 General Election.
Following his removal, County Secretary Machel Waikenda confirmed that Zipporah Njeri Mwangi, the Chief Officer for Culture, Arts, and Tourism, had been appointed to manage Mosiria’s former docket in an acting capacity.
Addressing his sudden departure, Mosiria previously alluded to principles from The 48 Laws of Power, alleging that his high visibility and community initiatives had created administrative friction within the county leadership.
