Mat Sabu visits Ahmad Madani, baby born during MAHA 2026

KUALA LUMPUR: Agriculture and Food Security Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu visited Ahmad Madani, dubbed "Baby MAHA", and his family at their home following the baby's birth during the Malaysia Agriculture, Horticulture and Agrotourism Exhibition (MAHA) 2026.

Mohamad, popularly known as Mat Sabu, said he was delighted to meet the baby, whose birth attracted attention after his mother went into labour while attending MAHA 2026.

In a Facebook post, Mohamad said MAHA visitors and staff had witnessed the tense moment when the mother required assistance and was taken for treatment.

"Do you still remember the anxious moment when a mother showed signs of going into labour while she was at MAHA 2026?

"The incident went viral on social media after staff quickly stepped in to help take her for treatment. Alhamdulillah, both the mother and baby were safe, and the little one was named Ahmad Madani," he said.

Mohamad said he also presented a gift and contribution to the family as a token of remembrance during his visit.

He described Ahmad Madani's birth as a sweet memory.

"May Ahmad Madani grow up healthy, become a righteous child and bring happiness to his parents and the whole family," he said.

He also expressed hope of meeting Ahmad Madani again at the next edition of MAHA.
