Strictly’s Motsi Mabuse slams fans for “tearing apart” new hosts in harsh critic

Strictly Come Dancing judge Motsi Mabuse has slammed fans for their criticism of the new hosts. Emma Willis, Josh Widdicombe and Johannes Radebe recently made their debuts as the new presenters of the show.

However, they haven't gone down well with some, with many suggesting that Josh should've been upstairs in the auditorium, while others couldn't hear Johannes in the mix properly.

Amid the backlash, Motsi has defended her co-stars, sharing on Threads: "While people type away, tearing apart real human beings on television,real emotions !!!!!!!

"AI is getting better at replacing them. One day we might not even know the difference. And maybe then we’ll miss the days when television was still beautifully, imperfectly human."

She isn't the only one who has had the new trio's back, with dancer Lauren Oakley recently sharing a post praising her new colleagues.

"We couldn't be in safer hands than with these beautiful people," she wrote. "Strictly is about family, uplifting others, and creating a safe space for celebrity contestants to be vulnerable and do something so outside of their comfort zone.

"This trio have been so warm and welcoming and they felt like family from the minute they stepped into the studio, and we LOVE having them with us.

"Professional, funny, kind and fantastic at what they do. I couldn't feel more lucky to be sharing the screen and our Saturday nights with them!"

Elsewhere, Strictly fans have shared their reactions to the newly revamped spin-off It Takes Two, now hosted by Ellie Taylor, one admitting it "will take some getting used to", especially with the celebrities no longer being interviewed alongside their pro partners. However, there was agreement that Ellie was a fantastic host.

Strictly Come Dancing airs on Saturday and Sunday nights on BBC One and iPlayer, while It Takes Two airs on BBC Two and iPlayer on weekday evenings.
