The Oyo State Police Command has arrested three men in Saki over alleged homosexual acts.

The suspects, identified as Ayomide Lukeman, 22; Shuaib Aremu, 22; and Abdul-Rasheed Mufeed, 23, were arrested by operatives of the Command Monitoring Unit, Saki Operational Base, following intelligence received on September 29, 2026.

The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, DSP Ayanlade Olayinka, disclosed this in a statement on Friday.

According to him, the Commissioner of Police, Oyo State Command, directed the Monitoring Unit to verify the intelligence and take appropriate action, leading to the arrest of the three suspects.

Olayinka said preliminary investigation showed that the suspects allegedly admitted to engaging in homosexual acts.

He added that two of the suspects allegedly confessed to having sexual relations with the third suspect on several occasions, with the latter allegedly regarded by them as their “wife.”

The PPRO said investigations were ongoing to establish the circumstances surrounding the allegations and determine whether other persons were connected to the case.

“The Oyo State Police Command reiterates its commitment to conducting investigations professionally, impartially, and in accordance with the law,” the statement said.

The command urged members of the public to provide timely and credible information to the police to aid crime prevention, detection and investigation.

For emergencies, residents can contact the Oyo State Call Response Centre on 615 or the Police Command Control Room on 08081768614 and 07055495413.
