Osimhen Dedicates Galatasaray’s Victory Over Fenerbahçe To Coach Buruk

Translate

Victor Osimhen has dedicated Galatasaray’s 2-1 victory over Fenerbahçe to head coach Okan Buruk following Monday night’s thrilling Intercontinental Derby at RAMS Park.

The Nigeria international was the hero for the Yellow and Reds, scoring both goals to secure a crucial win over their fierce rivals.

Osimhen has now netted three goals in his last two appearances for Galatasaray, continuing his impressive form for the Turkish champions.

Speaking after the match, the striker revealed that the victories over Lille and Fenerbahçe were special gifts for Buruk, who recently celebrated his 53rd birthday.

“We love our coach Okan Buruk very much. Beyond being our technical director, we love him like a father,” Osimhen was quoted as saying by Sporx.

“He’s a very good person, both on and off the field. We wanted to gift him victories against both Lille and Fenerbahçe, and we succeeded.

“We are the biggest in Turkey, one of the biggest in the world. And we’re showing that.”

Osimhen’s brace not only secured bragging rights for Galatasaray in one of Turkish football’s biggest rivalries but also gave Buruk another reason to celebrate as his side continues to make a strong statement in domestic football.
