Ajith Kumar’s Ajith RedAnt by Virage team finished 38th overall in the Michelin Le Mans Cup race at Silverstone on Saturday, completing the two-hour contest three laps behind the overall winner.
The No. 16 car, shared by Ajith and French driver Romain Vozniak, had qualified eighth in the LMP3 Pro/Am category earlier on Saturday. However, the crew couldn't convert that qualifying position into a points finish in the race. The championship standings currently lists Ajith RedAnt by Virage with no points from the Silverstone round and 21 overall.
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay was in attendance at Silverstone and waved the ceremonial green flag to start the race.

Vijay is in the United Kingdom as part of a week-long official visit aimed at attracting investments to Tamil Nadu and strengthening ties with British companies. His visit to Silverstone is also linked to the State’s proposed Motor Sports City, with the delegation looking at international practices in circuit design, safety systems and the commercial operation of motorsport facilities.
The Silverstone event was the fifth round of the 2026 Michelin Le Mans Cup season. The championship will conclude with the Portimao round in Portugal in October.
