Oasis 2027: Everything we know about who will support the band on 2027 tour

Oasis are hitting the road again in 2027, just two years after their momentous comeback tour.

The UK shows are made up of five dates in Glasgow, 11 dates in Manchester and four at Knebworth, 30 years after they played a historic two nights to 250,000 fans at the Hertfordshire venue in 1996.

Whilst the dates and venues have been confirmed, after months of speculation, one thing is still (mostly) up in the air - who will be supporting the band?

Here’s what we know so far about which artists will be joining the Gallagher brothers on tour.

Who is confirmed?

Richard Ashcroft

The Verve’s Richard Ashcroft is the only officially confirmed support act that will be hitting the road with Noel and Liam next year for all 38 dates.

He had previously performed on the Live '25 tour alongside Liverpool band CAST, playing at their UK, Ireland and South American gigs.

The news was first confirmed in the FAQs for the new run of shows, though Ashcroft himself has since corroborated.

Sharing an image of himself performing in front of crowds, he wrote: “Let’s do it again! Love and peace RA.”

Discussing the news, a source told The Sun: “Liam and Noel love Richard and his music, and quickly signed him up for the tour.

“They know there is massive crossover appeal with their fans and Richard got them going perfectly last time out. It’s going to be an even bigger party atmosphere next year.”

Who would like to join?

Ocean Colour Scene

Ocean Colour Scene have expressed their interest in joining the group on tour, over 30 years after joining them on stage at Knebworth.

In 1996, the Britpop band played historic two nights at the Hertfordshire venue, with Ocean Colour Scene joining them on August 10. They played hits such as “The Day We Caught The Train” and “The Riverboat Song”, alongside a cover of The Small Faces' |Song Of A Baker”.

Asked whether the band would want to play at the upcoming Knebworth shows, singer Simon Fowler told reporters: “I'd love to, why not if they give us the nod?”

Who is tipped to return?

Cast

The Liverpool band has already played with the band during their 2025 comeback tour, and bookies reckon they could be making a return for next year’s string of shows.

William Hill has the band as 5/4 favourites to have the band support Oasis at their four-night residency at Knebworth, which the Liverpool band played back in 1996.

They have also supported them on past shows in Paris, Irving Beach, Loch Lomond.

Noel has previously described watching the band live as being like a "religious experience" and called frontman John Power as being “as cosmic as the day is long”.

And Liam has previously enlisted them to join him in 2023 as part of his “Definetely Maybe” anniversary tour dates.

Manic Street Preachers

Shortly after Cast comes the Manic Street Preachers, with odds of 6/4 to join the band at Knebworth.

Like Cast, the Welsh band also joined Oasis on stage in 1996 for the legendary Hertfordshire set of gigs.

The band has already announced a co-headlining tour with Suede, beginning in autumn 2026. The tour begins on September 26 and wraps up on November 18.

The Manic Street Preachers regularly toured with the band back in the 90s, and have fondly recalled their time on the road.

“I’ve never seen a stadium shake like that, it was nearly frightening”, James Dean said of the Knebwoth gigs.

Earlier this year, Liam made digs at the band, saying they “lack swagger and style” and “dress like estate agents”, though he later told fans that he was simply on the “wind up”.

Who do the fans want to return?

Besides the bands already mentioned, some of the popular names on social media ranged from Kasabian to Blur.

“I saw the Charlatans last week in SF and the band was top notch. Reminded me how many great songs they have,” wrote one user.

“Unironically I’d love to see Blur. You know if we’re doing reconciliation let’s do it all the way,” they added.

A third said: “Stereophonics - I know they’re way bigger in the UK but man, if they opened stateside, I think that would turn a lot of heads for people that aren’t familiar with them.
