The official X/Twitter account for the Pokémon franchise announced on Wednesday that the second part of the paid Expansion Pass DLC for Pokémon Pokopia, its cozy-style life simulation crafting game for the Pokémon franchise, will launch on December 9.

The second DLC part includes accessories such as sunglasses, Sylveon ribbon, and bow tie. The DLC will also include Doduo, Skitty, Braixen, and more Pokémon.

The game's paid Expansion Pass DLC added the underwater Bubbly Basin town on August 5 as part 1 of the pass, and it will add another town in 2027 as part 3. Purchasing the DLC gives players a bonus Dynamic Ditto print recipe and bonus Rare Pokémetal in-game. The free update that launched with part 1 of the DLC included new Pokémon such as Manaphy, Popplio, Mudkip, Chinchou, Lanturn, Buizel, Corphish, Totodile, Dhelmise, Golisopod, Corsola, Frillish, Lumineon, and Sharpedo. A free update added the ability for players to explore and build underwater in existing towns using the new ability to Dive.

The game launched for Nintendo Switch 2 on March 5 with a Game-Key Card release. Game-Key Cards are physical cartridges that do not actually contain a game, but rather, a key to unlock and play the digital version from Nintendo's eShop. Koei Tecmo developed the game. Nintendo and The Pokémon Company announced in August the game has sold more than 5 million units worldwide in about four months.
