IPOH: Two teenagers were killed when the motorcycle they were riding collided with a car in Kampung Teluk Sareh, near Kampung Gajah, early today.

Perak Fire and Rescue Department Assistant Director of Operations Sabarodzi Nor Ahmad identified the deceased as Siti Qazrina Abdul Rahman, 19, and her friend, Adam Danial Abdul Rahman, 18.

He said the department received a distress call at 4.29am, following which personnel from the Kampung Gajah fire and rescue station were dispatched to the scene.

"Upon arrival, the team found a Toyota Yaris in a ditch with a victim inside who was not trapped. The motorcycle rider and pillion rider were also found there," he said in a statement today.

He said the victims were pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel, while the seriously injured car driver was taken to Seri Iskandar Hospital for treatment.
