Village cooperative manager placement aims to even out HR: Minister

Jakarta (ANTARA) - Cooperatives Minister Ferry Juliantono said the cross-regional placement of Red and White Village Cooperative (KDKMP) managers is aimed at ensuring an even distribution of managerial human resources across all regions.

Following a limited coordination meeting here on Tuesday, Juliantono said the placement was also carried out to fill manager needs in regions where KDKMP buildings have been completed, so the cooperatives can immediately begin operational activities.

He added that managers who object to being placed far from their domicile are not automatically disqualified and can retain their status while awaiting a solution, according to the ministry's press statement.

He said managers who have received a placement decree (SK) outside their domicile are advised to accept the initial placement. Once construction of the KDKMP in their home region is completed, the manager's placement will be readjusted to match their domicile.

Juliantono ensured that managers who resign will not face sanctions. According to him, the number of managers who have resigned so far is not significant.

Meanwhile, Coordinating Minister for Food Affairs Zulkifli Hasan said managers who have received a placement need to accept the assignment so that their status as workers under a two-year Fixed-Term Employment Agreement (PKWT) with Agrinas Pangan Nusantara remains valid.

"Once the cooperative near their domicile has finished being built, (the placement) location will be adjusted. Their status will not be disqualified," Hasan said.

He said KDKMP managers will begin their placements according to their work areas on October 1, 2026.

KDKMP managers will receive income of around Rp6.3 million to Rp8.3 million, consisting of salary and allowances in accordance with the local district/city minimum wage (UMK).

A total of 28,620 KDKMP managers received placement decrees from PT Agrinas Pangan Nusantara on September 25, 2026, and were asked to confirm no later than September 28, 2026.

The managers will begin actively working at their respective locations in early October 2026.
