Will the PS5 Pro get cheaper during Black Friday 2026 sales?

The PS5 Pro has proved very elusive these last few months, as the device has gone in and out of stock in the lead up to GTA 6.

Sony has yet to release a statement about the premium console which is currently out of stock at most major UK retailers, including PlayStation.

That makes predicting anything to do with this year's Black Friday sales difficult to say the least.

Right now, we're monitoring where you can buy the device over on our PS5 Pro stock page. However, we're also keeping a close eye on any deals that pop up.

The PS5 Pro came out in 2024 and quickly became a hit, reportedly making up 26% of all PS5 hardware sales in the month of its release. However, that didn't stop the device being include in the PS5 price increases earlier this year, which saw the console go up to a whopping £789.

With the release of the new GTA 6 on 19 November, we're expecting the PS5 Pro stock issues to continue throughout the sales period, but we'll also be keeping an eye on any worth deals that may pop up.

Will the PS5 Pro go on sale this Black Friday?

It's very unlikely the PS5 Pro will go on sale this Black Friday.

Last year, we saw the device drop by £40 in the sales. However, due to the current issues with stock, Sony has no reason to discount the console this year.

Plus, the price of the console increased this April from £699.99 to £789.99, so even if we did see a discount, it's unlikely to be reduced past its original price.

Should you wait until Black Friday to buy the PS5 Pro?

No. If you see the PS5 Pro in stock at any official retailers: PlayStation, Very, Currys, Smyths etc. then buy it at once.

Keep an eye out for scalpers or third-party sellers who have currently raised prices to above £1,000, and make sure you bookmark our PS5 Pro stock page to get the best updates.
