KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 2 — Police are investigating the incident involving an unknown woman who shoved and hit two children at a shopping mall here yesterday.

Dang Wangi district police chief ACP Ahmad Azwan Amin Nordin said they found a 35-second video that went viral on social media depicting an argument between two individuals following the incident, adding that the father of a child involved in the incident, aged 36, lodged a police report at 7.39pm.

“The complainant said that an unknown woman had suddenly shoved his son from behind, causing him to fall, while he was walking with his two children, aged two and seven at about 3pm.

“The woman also allegedly hit the back of his two year old daughter,” he said in a statement last night, adding that the police viewed the incident seriously and a comprehensive investigation is ongoing to identify the real cause of the incident.

He also advised the public to refrain from speculating and urged those with information to contact the Kuala Lumpur police hotline at 03-2115 9999, the Dang Wangi district police headquarters at 03-2600 2222 or the nearest police station. — Bernama
