Jason Statham's "excellent" crime thriller with MobLand star is streaming for free

We've in a Jason Statham mood lately, helped by the release of the ridiculous trailer for The Beekeeper 2, so when we discovered that one of his films that also features one of the main cast members of MobLand is streaming for free, we just had to share.
Blitz is a 2011 film that stars Statham, Paddy Considine, Game of Thrones' Aidan Gillen and Tip Toe's David Morrissey, with Moon writer Nathan Parker on scripting duties and music video director Elliott Lester behind the camera.
Plot-wise, a serial killer has been targeting police officers in London, and it's up to an unconventionally violent copper to take him down.

At the time of writing, Blitz is available to stream free on ITVX, although you can pay £5.99 a month/£59.99 a year for the ad-free ITVX Premium subscription.
It's important to note that this isn't the the 2024 Saoirse Ronan project of the same name. That's a World War II film directed by Steve McQueen.
Critics were properly split on Statham's Blitz, with a 50% positive score on Rotten Tomatoes from 24 reviews.
That means that exactly half of the collected reviews are generally positive, rather than 50% being an average of all their scores.

IMDb does provide an average score from all its user ratings, and Blitz has a 6.2/10 score from over 97,000 ratings.
One fan who really enjoyed the film called it an "excellent police procedural with a moral edge" and praised the supporting cast.
Another dubbed it "a good movie that finally comes to life about 20 to 30 minutes in" and stated that Gillen was "a brilliant bad guy" with "a Johnny Rotten swagger".
Blitz is available to stream now on ITVX.
