Celebrity Race Across the World returned earlier this week with its eagerly awaited fourth season, with Princess and Junior Andre being one of the duos that are venturing from Malaysia to Australia.

In the lead-up, the pair - who work as influencers and musicians respectively - said they had "a lot to prove" as they wanted to avoid comparisons to their famous parents, Peter Andre and Katie Price.

Despite that, they still got a friendly message of support from their father, who quipped on Instagram: "Your sense of direction might be terrible at the moment, but your manners are impeccable #prouddad."

Peter, who is no stranger to reality TV following his stint in the Australian jungle for I'm a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!, added in a follow-up comment that he had "absolute faith" in his children.

The comment section was full of supportive messages, with one user writing: "They're young but doing great. All of us would have been the same at their age. A massive learning curve but fab experience for both."

"They are just lovely. I think their confidence will grow as the race progresses and they are the ones to watch," wrote another viewer, while a third fan of the BBC series dubbed them the "dream team".

Princess and Junior are one of four teams in the latest season, with Eurovision Song Contest star Sam Ryder is teamed up with tour manager Kaz. Broadcaster Jeff Stelling is with his son Matt, while singer-songwriter Ella Eyre is alongside best friend Nana.

The first episode, which aired on Wednesday (28 October) saw Ella & Nana reach the first checkpoint ahead of the others, with the duo having 93% of their money left. Sam & Kaz were 18 hours behind them, with Jeff & Matt a further 19 minutes back.

Princess & Junior, meanwhile, still hadn't reached the checkpoint by the end of the season premiere, with the pair being over 230km away as the episode ended on a dramatic cliffhanger.

Celebrity Race Across the World airs on BBC One and streams on BBC iPlayer.
