‘I am a public figure, not public property’: Khushbu Sundar speaks out against cyberattacks

Khushbu Sundar speaks out against cyberattacks.

Actress Khushbu has spoken out against cyberattacks and personal abuse on social media, asserting that being a public figure does not give people the right to target her or her family.

In an interview with JFW Digital, the actress questioned why people who post offensive comments about celebrities would object if they received similar treatment in return.

Khushbu says public figures are not public property

During the interview, Khushbu addressed people who make offensive remarks about her and her family online. She said that public recognition should not be mistaken for permission to invade someone’s personal life or subject their loved ones to abuse.“I am a public figure, not public property. That is very clear. If you insult my mother or my children, I will have to respond in the same way. Wouldn’t that make you uncomfortable? That is all there is to it. If it makes you uncomfortable, who are you to speak about my parents, my children or me?“I feel nothing but sympathy for the upbringing of those who make unnecessary and vulgar comments about me, and for their parents,” Khushbu said.

Khushbu’s official X account was hacked

In April last year, Khushbu revealed that her official X account, formerly known as Twitter, had been hacked. The account, @khushsundar, became inaccessible after her login credentials stopped working. The actress turned to Instagram to alert her followers and clarify that she was not responsible for activity on the compromised account. She also warned people against trusting posts published there during the period of unauthorized access.“Hi friends, my #TWITTER @khushsundar account is hacked. I am not able to log in, and it's not accepting my ID or password. I am blocked out. Any news, updates, posts, or any activity on my Twitter page in the last 9 hours is not by me,” she wrote. Khushbu subsequently appealed to her followers for assistance in recovering the account. She asked them to remain alert and report suspicious activity while she tried to regain access.“Attention, everyone! My ‘X account’ has been hacked If anyone knows how to retrieve it, please help me out. It’s urgent! #CyberHelp #AccountRecovery #UrgentAssistance,” she posted. On the professional front, Khushbu is set to appear in 'Dragon', which stars Jr NTR.
