- Six Flags Entertainment (FUN) CEO John Reilly on Friday said that seat belts would be added to the Goliath roller coaster at Six Flags Over Georgia, after a man fell off the ride to his death earlier this month.
- He added that similar coasters at its other parks would also get the seatbelts. Hypercoasters such as Goliath already have a clamshell lap bar restraint.
- "We have engaged independent engineers and ride inspection specialists to comprehensively review current safety procedures across our entire portfolio of rides and attractions, across all of our parks," Reilly wrote in his message to guests and passholders.
- Goliath and eight other coasters at five other Six Flags locations are temporarily closed as the investigation into the Oct. 12 incident continues.
