Hockey India announced cash rewards for the men’s team after its fourth straight Junior Asia Cup triumph in Moqi, China, on Sunday.
The side, led by Anmol Ekka, beat Korea 4-1 in the final. Ajeet Yadav (ninth minute), Ekka (13th minute), Prabhdeep Singh (21st minute) and Ashu Maurya (50th minute) scored for the Indian team while a solitary strike for Korea came from Lee Minhyeok (54th minute).
Ekka finished the tournament as the top scorer with 17 goals.
Each player of the title-winning squad will received INR 3 lakh while for every staff member, the amount is INR 1.5 lakh.

The team has also qualified for the next Junior Men’s Hockey World Cup.
India remained unbeaten throughout its campaign. In the group stage, the team defeated Indonesia, Korea and Chinese Taipei while also playing a 3-3 draw against Japan.
In the semifinals, it took down Malaysia 3-1.
