Emmerdale's Charity Dingle is caught out over missing £100k – and fireworks follow

Emmerdale's Charity Dingle may have thought she was on the right path to patching things up with Sarah, but her plan backfired. During tonight's episode (20 October) of the ITV soap, Charity attempted to try and save the day by pretending she had found Robert Sugden's missing poker winnings.
Dumping the bag of cash on the table, she fabricated a story about a window cleaner stealing the money from the pub – when she was actually the one who had pinched it.

"So, yesterday I was racking my brains after you two left and then it suddenly came to me, who else was popping in and out of the pub," she told Robert, Sarah, and Aaron.
She then claimed the window cleaner had the money "stashed in his van" but once he handed it over to her, she promised not to take further action. Of course, Robert was stunned by this, while Sarah appeared suspicious.
Later on, Sarah decided to pay Charity a visit and thanked her for saving the day – but the conversation soon turned sour.
"Why did you steal the money?" Sarah asked her, adding: "I know you were lying."
As Charity attempted to cover her tracks further, Sarah became frustrated and told her: "Right stop! Can you please just be honest for once in your life? Admit it, admit you stole the money Charity!"
"Okay, I stole the hundred grand!" Charity then blurted out, as Sarah told her: "And here's me thinking you couldn't sink any lower."

Charity ended up admitting that she was jealous of watching Sarah "cosying up" to Robert and Aaron and told her: "I just want what's best for you!"
"You're incapable of telling the truth," Sarah told her before branding her "toxic" and "dangerous", and threatening to never let her see Leyla again.
Of course, the pair fell out after Sarah discovered that Charity had lied about Leyla being her biological daughter. It seems that this latest lie could leave them more estranged than ever.
