Indiana Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton has a strained left hamstring and will miss time, sources told ESPN's Shams Charania on Wednesday.

How long Haliburton will be sidelined is currently unclear, as Pacers team doctors and Haliburton are still gathering a clear timeline for his recovery, sources told ESPN.

Haliburton played in the first four games of the season for Indiana -- including a back-to-back this past Sunday and Monday -- after he had missed 16 months while recovering from a torn Achilles suffered in the 2025 NBA Finals.

He acknowledged feeling "a little beat up" after Monday's game in Milwaukee before appearing on the injury report Wednesday.

Haliburton had been averaging 21.8 points, 9.5 assists and 4.5 rebounds on 52% shooting while playing 33 minutes per game to start the season.

Haliburton becomes the latest in an influx of star players sidelined with injuries to start the season, including Oklahoma City's Jalen Williams, Minnesota's Anthony Edwards and Toronto's Kawhi Leonard.

Injuries are also already beginning to pile up for Indiana, who had four of their five starters appear on the injury report for Wednesday's game against the Philadelphia 76ers.

Ivica Zubac was already ruled out Wednesday's game with a left ankle sprain, while T.J. McConnell has a right hamstring strain and has yet to play this season. Ben Sheppard tore his left meniscus, and Johnny Furphy had surgery on his right ACL.

Andrew Nembhard missed Monday's game in Milwaukee and is also listed as questionable heading into Wednesday's game with neck soreness.

The Pacers won 19 games, the fewest wins in a season in franchise history, while Haliburton was sidelined for the entire 2025-26 season.
