Cheras house blaze linked to charging EV

Translate

An electric vehicle (EV) that was charging is believed to have caused a fire which razed a two-storey house in Alam Damai, Cheras, early Sunday morning.

Kuala Lumpur fire and rescue department assistant director Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar said the house was completely destroyed in the blaze which broke out around 5am.

“The fire is believed to have been started by an EV that was charging at the house’s front porch,” he was quoted as saying by Harian Metro.

No one was harmed in the fire.
