Nothing wrong with questioning govt, Wong Chen says on Hassan’s plea

Former Subang MP Wong Chen today dismissed a call by Pasir Gudang MP Hassan Karim of PKR to refrain from criticising the prime minister, saying there is nothing wrong with questioning the government.
“I’m not going to follow Hassan’s suggestion,” he said in a speech at a gathering here to protest Myanmar president Min Aung Hlaing’s visit to Malaysia.
Hassan yesterday urged four former MPs who quit the party to stop their personal attacks on Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim and PKR.
The former MPs, whom he referred to as the “gang of four”, were Wong Chen as well as Rafizi Ramli, Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad and Lee Chean Chung, who are now key leaders in Bersama.
Hassan said that instead of doing themselves a favour, they were only helping their rivals Umno and Perikatan Nasional.
He also said they were wrong to think that their constant attacks on Anwar and PKR would win support for Bersama in the next general election.
