Police probe disappearance of 19-year-old woman in Ekiti

The Ekiti State Police Command has commenced an investigation to establish the whereabouts of a 19-year-old woman, Dandam Happiness, who has been missing since August 10, 2026.
The Police Public Relations Officer for the command, SP Sunday Abutu, disclosed this in a statement issued in Ado Ekiti on Monday.
According to Abutu, Happiness left her residence in Ado Ekiti at about 4pm on August 10 and has not returned.
The statement said, “She left her residence in Ado Ekiti on 10th August, 2026, at about 16.00 hours (4pm), to an unknown destination and has not returned since then.”
The police described the missing woman as 19 years old, approximately 4.5 feet tall and fair in complexion, adding that she has no tribal marks and speaks English fluently.

The statement added, “All efforts made by her relatives and friends to locate her whereabouts have proved abortive.”
Abutu said the command had commenced investigations to determine her whereabouts and ensure her safe return.
He said, “The Command has begun an investigation to unravel her whereabouts.”
The police spokesperson urged members of the public with useful information about Happiness’ whereabouts to contact the nearest police station or call +2349064050086.
He also appealed to residents to share the information widely to assist the police, family and friends in locating the missing woman.
